Economic Empowerment

Our ministry focus is also on social economic empowerment for the parents and caregivers to the orphans and vulnerable children [OVC] in the communities, for self-sustainability.

We work with the caregivers to empower OVC out of social marginalization, isolation and discrimination through income generating activities like agriculture, poultry, animal rearing, craft making, soap making, catering and formal education.

This will help to improve and promote food security for orphans and other vulnerable children [OVC] households, create a family centered environment for all caregivers for social, spiritual, moral, and emotional support.

Women of Faith

Women of faith is a group of super talented Christian women from our partner churches in Bugiri, Kayunga, Ibanda, and Masindi. These are strong faithful mothers who share their faith and love in Uganda and overseas.

Through their talents and efforts, they support their families and church ministry too out of what they get from their sweat. They make beautiful crafts like baskets [bowls], bracelets, necklaces, weaved plants, mats, purses etc. We are blessed with our dear sister Lyndsay Schumacher who shares the work of our ladies with the people in the USA and Canada. This has created market for our crafts and ladies are greatly supported and so are able to financially support their families. Lyndsay and her husband Jason visited our ministry, and our partner church, Nakavule Lutheran church and School in May 2021. It was a joy as they shared their faith and love with us.

They run a nonprofit back in the US called Sunshine shelter for kids www.sunshineshelterforkids.com that now partners with us in reaching out to women and children in Nakavule village, Bugiri District.
